Just saw The 300
Damn fine movie... and somehow I just did not want it to end though. I wanted to see the whole war and more detail and I really want to ignore the historical inaccuracy ... and did I mention Spartans are just freaking cool?
One of my favorite lines was from the Spartans in real world history goes something like, Philip of Macedon threatened them with, "If I enter Laconia, I will raze Sparta to the ground," the Spartans' reply was, "If." ... and going back to the movie for a second, they used the line, come back with your shield or on it. Which is another favorite of days of yore :P
And for those of you keeping track of my kibbles and bits, they are doing just fine. Thanks for asking.
